Three Reasons Why Your Business Needs a GPS

Three Reasons Why Your Business Needs a GPS

Does your business have a barometer to measure whether or not it’s moving in the right direction?

Do you know what your business stands for, what the overarching message is, who your customers or clients are and what values your business brings to the table?

Well, if you want a thriving business, one that lasts, you better listen up.

Because this is a foundational piece. You can NOT skip this.

The fate of your business depends on it.

Okay. Maybe I am being a little overdramatic. But not by much.

I’ve seen the difference between those entrepreneurs who honor their business GPS and those who don’t have clue what theirs even looks like.

And let me tell you, from where I’m standing, it’s NOT pretty.

Sure, some of them might be making money, but it’s only a matter of time before their business has an identity crisis and it all comes crumbling down.

I want you to avoid this.

Don’t fall prey to the “prom dress” photo shoots or the “anyone can be an expert” bullshit.

You are SO much better than that.

That’s why it’s imperative to know your Business GPS.

Your business GPS is as unique as your thumbprint.

It defines who you are and how you show up in the world.

Essentially, it becomes your guide. Your handbook.

When you’re faced with making important decisions regarding your business, your GPS will help navigate the way.

Your Business GPS is personal.

And as long as you honor it, the sky’s the limit.

Let me give you a few reasons why every business (including yours) needs its own GPS.

Your GPS will help:

Your Business (and YOU) Stay on Track

When you know what you stand for, what your message is, who you speak to, and what you offer, making decisions for your business is easy.

All you have to do is ask yourself this question: Does this [new product/service, joint venture, collaboration, guest post, podcast…] comply with the overarching theme of my business? If it’s a yes, it’s full steam ahead. If the answer is no, you move on. Another opportunity, the right opportunity, will present itself.

You Define Your Own Version of Success

When you have strong business values and you honor them daily, your need to compare yourself/business to someone else disappears. This completely redefines what success means to you and shifts the way you measure it. I’ve seen exponential growth when entrepreneurs let go of who they “should” be and start honoring who they really are.

You Uncover Misalignments in Your Business

I wish I could say this never happens. But it does and it most likely will. After all, you are human having human experiences. You don’t get a free pass just because you are an entrepreneur. But the beauty of knowing your GPS, is you can quickly find the misalignments, make a course correction and be on your way. Sometimes within minutes.
