3 Reasons Why Your Business Needs a Brand

3 Reasons Why Your Business Needs a Brand

When I first started my business, I thought brands were for large corporations such as Nike, Coca-Cola and Apple.

If you have this same thought, you are making a big mistake.

Every business, both big and small, needs a brand.

And before I go any further…No, a brand is not just a logo, a tagline or a website.

Your brand shows your audience who you are, what you do and most importantly what you STAND for.

Your brand is the PROMISE of an EXPERIENCE.

It tells the world what you will deliver and why.

In other words, your BRAND is one of your business’s biggest assets.

If that doesn’t convince you, here are 3 more reasons you and your business need to develop a strong brand.

Attracts Ideal Clients

When you tell your story, share your values, and show up everywhere as a 100% you, people will notice. Those who relate or connect with you will listen and want more and those who don’t will disappear. This is a huge win! (Think about it from this perspective…would you rather have a small tribe of adoring clients or a giant list of people who run hot and cold?)

If you stay true to your brand, not only will finding ideal clients be less of a headache but they will be willing to pay you what you are worth.

Allows You to Stand out in the Crowd

Having a strong brand helps you differentiate yourself. This does not work if you are copying someone else.

But if you are willing to own your gifts, share your mistakes and be MORE human than your competitors while being just YOU…standing out will be easy.

Why? Because eventually those who are playing the “fake it till you make it” game mess up and their true colors are unveiled. (I know you know what I’m talking about.)

Creates Loyal Fans

The key here is consistency. Giving your clients the experience you promised (and then some) will not only have your current clients coming back for more but they will be shouting your name from the rooftops which means you will have lots of referrals. And let’s face it, there is nothing better than word of mouth marketing, is there?

Yesss! It’s my consistently wonky, while still being genuinely helpful and interesting, that keeps people interested. I just said to someone, “I think my brand is ‘Pops of strange in unexpected places.'” Haha! Thank you for the reminder Kimberly of how important it is to stay on point!
